Police: Two Hospitalized After Stabbing

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS)- Two people were taken to a hospital Wednesday night after police say they were stabbed.

It happened just before 6 P.M. on the 100 block of North Street near Washington.

Officers responded to the scene of a caller saying someone was suicidal inside the home. Police say a female teenager stabbed a family member and herself.

Although police have not yet offered any more details as to how it all unfolded. "It was a hostile environment when we arrived, but we were able to subdue the subject and get things handled," said Sgt. Traci Ruiz, Lansing Police Department.

Sgt. Ruiz also says both people involved suffered minor injuries and our being treated at a local hospital.
