U Of M Debates In-State Tuition For Immigrants

ANN ARBOR, Mich. (WLNS)- The University of Michigan Board of Regents is expected to decide Thursday whether the school should offer in-state tuition to immigrants who've been living in Michigan without legal permission.

The university currently charges those students out-of-state tuition, which is much higher.

The tuition proposal would also allow members of the military to receive in-state tuition regardless of where they live.

If approved, the policy revisions would go into effect in January.
