Family Loses Home To Fire

JACKSON, Mich. (WLNS)- One family is without a home after a fire destroys their home in Jackson.

It happened shortly after 6 P.M. on the 1400 block of Lansing Avenue. Officials tell us that four people do live in the home, that includes two kids under 11-years-old.

No one was home at the time of the fire, and officials were able to get the flames under control in about an hour.

The home is considered a total loss, and the cause is still under investigation.
