LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) - A long time Lansing jail detention officer has been found "not guilty" of assault and battery charges.

David Gladstone, a 20-year veteran in the jail, had been accused of assaulting a teenager in the jail back in March.

The jury returned with the not guilty verdict Tuesday.

Gladstone had been on paid administrative leave and will remain there pending the completion of an Internal Affairs investigation.
