UPDATE: The Jackson County Sheriff's Department reports all lanes and exits open as of around 8:15 p.m. The investigation continues.
GRASS LAKE, Mich. (WLNS) - Police have closed down a stretch of eastbound I-94 following a multiple-vehicle, fatal accident.
It happened around 5:15p.m. Tuesday near Mt. Hope in Grass Lake--that's in eastern Jackson County. The accident involved two vehicles, a car and a flatbed truck.
The Jackson County Sheriff's Department has confirmed one man died from injuries in his car. There was a passenger in the vehicle who was taken to Allegiance Hospital by ambulance; their condition is unknown. The driver of the truck's condition is also unknown.
Authorities are having motorists get off at the Mt. Hope exit.
