SHOCKING Video Released From I-96 Accident

Posted: Updated:

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) - Shocking new video has been released of an I-96 accident from Friday night.

Video we brought you Friday showed the truck on the embankment below I-96 after the driver lost control and plummeted into Sycamore Creek.

Video taken by another motorist, just seconds before, shows a scary sight, almost from a movie. The video above is from Alex Stack of Fenton. She was driving in the same direction as the truck when it left the roadway.

Watch as the truck and the trailer it's towing drive through the median, hit the guardrail and catapult upward before disappearing into the creek below.

The man behind the wheel of that truck is Mark Moerland, 58, from Kentwood. He was taken to Sparrow Hospital in Lansing, where he still remains. His wife says doctors believe he had a seizure, which led to Friday's crash.

His wife says he has a broken leg and bruises, but, thankfully, she says he is going to be OK.
