EAST LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) -- Police have charged a Vernon man tied to a string of sexual assault cases throughout the City of East Lansing earlier this year.
Saturday officials arraigned Oswald Scott Wilder, 26, in the East Lansing 54-B District Court.
He was charged with seven counts of criminal charges, including one count of first degree criminal sexual conduct, two counts of second degree criminal sexual conduct, two counts of assault with intent to commit sexual penetration, one count of gross indecency by a sexually deliquent person and for being a habitual offender, a fourth offense notice.
Wilder is being held in Ingham County Jail without bond.
East Lansing Police report they arrested Wilder after an extensive investigation into three sexual assault cases that happened in April and May.
Officials said the first sexual assault happened on Coolidge Road, south of Lake Lansing Road, around midnight on Saturday, April 20.
The second attempted sexual assault happened around 3 a.m. on Friday, April 26, in the 300 block of Charles Street.
The third sexual assault took place on Thursday, may 16 at 8 p.m. in the parking lot outside of the Abbott Pointe Apartments off of Abbot Road.
During the investigation, the East Lansing Police Department was assisted by the Michigan State Police, the Michigan State University Police Department, the Meridian Township Police Department, the Shiawassee County Sheriff's Office, the Vernon Police Department and the Meijer Loss Prevention.
Police said more details will be released later this week.
