LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) - The latest developments in passenger and freight rail will be the topic of discussion Tuesday at the very first Michigan rail conference.

It's put on by the Michigan Department of Transportation in partnership with Michigan Technological University and the National University Rail Center.

The M-1 rail project among other Michigan rail projects will be highlighted at the conference. The event takes place from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the West Campus Conference Center at Lansing Community College.
