Police Arrest Suspect In Intent To Murder Case

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) - Police made an arrest in a robbery and assault along the River Trail over the weekend.

Police arrested Anthony Matthew George, 22, just after midnight Wednesday on Cedar Street in Lansing. Authorities charged him Wednesday with assault with intent to murder and armed robbery.

It was early Sunday when police say George robbed and assaulted a 34-year-old woman in Moores River Park.

She survived, but did suffer some cuts to her neck and hands.

George is being held on $200,000 bond.
