'Tee It Up' With Local Soldiers At The Patriot Golf Outing

Posted: Updated:

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) – Local soldiers, veterans and golfers are "teeing it up" for a great cause this holiday weekend. They'll travel from Mid-Michigan and all over the state to Treetops in Gaylord for the Patriot Golf Shoot-out Friday, August 30 – Sunday, September 1.

Acting and retired armed services have already raised more than $17,000 in donations and sponsors to benefit the Fold of Honor Foundation in Michigan.

"What it really means to the children of these service members is it gives them the extra scholarship money, the extra money for tuition, for books, whatever they need," said Army Reserve Specialist Jason Fuller. The organization helps the kids of those service members who have become wounded or fallen.
