Man Recovers Following House Party Shooting

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) -- A man remains in the hospital following an early Sunday morning shooting.

Lansing Police say they responded to a house party on the 1400 block of Roosevelt at 1:55 a.m.

On scene, officials found a man who had been shot, along with shell casings.

Police say the man was shot twice in the lower body. He was taken to the hospital to treat his injuries. As of Sunday morning police say he remains in stable condition and is expected to survive.

Police say a suspect is not in custody at this time, but they have leads.

Police describe the suspect as a slim man around 5'5" to 5'7" wearing a white shirt and dark shorts. He was last seen riding a dark BMX bicycle near the intersection of Willow St. and Pine St.

The incident remains under investigation by the Lansing Police Department.
