Security Up At Howell Public Schools

Posted: Updated:

HOWELL, Mich. (WLNS) - Safety is a top priority in every school and for parents who have children going into elementary or middle school in the Howell Public School district, you can be sure that your children are safe this school year.

Howell Public Schools have upgraded their security and recently hired a new School Safety Coordinator, Patrick Sidge. Sidge is a retired Police Sergeant with more than 30 years of experience. He will work with the students and staff so that they feel comfortable talking to him about potential threats and other security issues.

There are cameras and a new buzzer system which means visitors can only get into the building if a school official lets them in.
