Michigan Man Waives Extradition, Has 30 Days to Return to Michigan

SAGINAW, Mich. (WLNS) - A Michigan man who was involved in the deadly drive-by shooting of 6-year-old Layla Jones recently waived extradition, after being found in Nevada.

Saginaw Police have 30 days to bring 24-year-old Michael Lawrence back to Michigan to face his charges. Lawrence is one of four men police have been looking for from the shooting in 2012.

He was arrested by Lansing police back in February, but officials say Lawrence used a fake named and was released on bond.

Saginaw Police also believe Lawrence killed his ex-girlfriend Angelica Oliverez in April.

One of the other men involved in the shooting, Levonne J. Greer, was sentenced to life in prison with no parole on Tuesday. Read more here: http://www.wlns.com/story/23335556/life-no-parole-in-drive-by-shooting-death-of-girl
