BROOKLYN, Mich. (WLNS) - One 94-year-old man is injured after crashing a car into the Shopko Store in Brooklyn.

It happened around 10:10 a.m. on Wednesday at 400 S. Main Street. The car crashed through the front wall of the Shopko store and traveled about half the length of the car into the store.

The driver, Rexford Fletcher, was transported to Allegiance Health and is expected to survive. Alcohol was not a factor in the crash and the driver is being referred for a re-examination at the Secretary of State's Office.

The Village of Brooklyn is working to handle the damage to the wall and will inspect the wall to make sure the structure is safe when repairs are done.
