Spartans Donate School Supplies

Posted: Updated:

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) - A big delivery at a Lansing school Friday morning had students cheering with excitement. Michigan State University students delivered $300 worth of new school supplies to the Shabazz Academy. The items were part of their annual "Stuff the Bus" event and while the little kids get the "goodies," MSU students say they also benefit.

"Seeing these kids, how excited they are about being at school, and getting all these school supplies. I can even describe the feeling. It's amazing," said Erin Lasenby, MSU student.

The community service event has been going on for 12 years now. So far more than $5,500 in school supplies have been donated to various local schools.
