Police Search For Suspects In Armed Robberies

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS)- Lansing Police were busy Monday morning with two separate robberies that they say may be connected.

Officials say they do not want to jump to conclusion on the connection between the two, but that the incidences were very similar.

The first happened at the 7-Eleven just before 12:30 A.M. Monday on East Jolly Road. The suspect came in with a gun demanding money and merchandise. No one was injured during the robbery.

The second armed robbery happened shortly before 4 A.M. at the Speedway on the 1900 block of East Michigan Avenue.

The suspect came in to the Speedway Gas Station with a gun and got away with money and cigarettes. Officials say he did get away on foot, and anyone with information please call the Lansing Police Department.

The suspect in both armed robberies is described as an African American male. Again, the details in both robberies are similar, but the investigation is on going and officials are not jumping to conclusions.
