How Many Miles Does Your Used Car Get?

Posted: Updated:

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) - A new government website can tell you how many miles per gallon your used car gets.

The website offers downloadable labels that show the gas mileage and pollution estimates of used cars. They are available for all vehicles sold in the U.S. since 1984. The labels show gas mileage and carbon dioxide emission estimates.

Used car sellers and dealers can post the stickers on car windows to advertise mileage. Officials say the sticker estimates work for used cars because mileage stays roughly the same, if a car is properly maintained.
