Man Who Caused Potassium Cyanide Scare Pronounced Dead

Posted: Updated:

OWOSSO, Mich. (WLNS) - The patient at the center of a Potassium Cyanide scare at an Owosso hospital last week has died. Officials say that the man who has not been identified by authorities died Sunday.

Hospital officials were forced to shut down a portion of the emergency room and call in a hazmat team, after the man got there.

They were afraid the Cyanide could off-gass and sicken hospital staff.

Police say that their investigation has un-covered no evidence of foul play.
