Pepper Spray Saves MSU Student From Assault

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) - Police say an 18-year-old woman's pepper spray on her key chain helped save her from an attack. It happened early Saturday morning near Akers Road and Shaw Lane on MSU's Campus.

Officers say the woman was walking to her residence hall around 1 a.m. when a man came out of the bushes and grabbed her from behind. That's when she sprayed him with pepper spray and was able to get away.
