Woman Shot, Police Nab Suspects

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) - Several people are in custody after police say someone shot a woman in the leg.

The shooting happened around 1:39 p.m. along the 1300 block of Mary in or near the Philip Dean apartments.

Lansing police confirmed to 6 News that one 18-year-old woman was shot in the leg and has non-life threatening injuries.

Police tailed a car seen leaving the area with several people inside. The car is a gold, four-door sedan. Officers attempted a felony traffic stop on a vehicle matching its description. Three ran from the vehicle, all in custody. There are five suspects total, one 17-year-old and four 18-year-olds.

A 6 News crew saw police arresting at least a couple of suspects.
