Men Burst Into Home Demanding Cash And Drugs

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) - A knock on the door led to one homeowner being shot in the leg. Three men with guns burst into a home and shot the man living there Thursday night.

It happened around 11 p.m. Thursday on the 2700 block of Newark. The 45-year-old homeowner heard a knock on the door and police say three men rushed inside, shot the victim in the leg, and demanded drugs and cash. After the men got what the came for, they took off.

After investigation, officers discovered the victim had answered his side door.

The victim was taken to the hospital and is expected to survive. Police are still searching for the suspects.

Police believe the men got into a vehicle near Martin Luther King and Miller.
