Tim Hortons Won't Move Into Capitol

Posted: Updated:

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) - A source from the Snyder administration told our Capitol Correspondent Tim Skubick that the deal is just not going to happen for two reasons.

First, the original deal did not include bids from other companies. Second, there was public pressure and opposition from companies like the East Lansing-based "Biggby Coffee." But there will still be a place for lawmakers to get their caffeine fix. The Bureau of Services for Blind Persons will open an eatery in the Capitol within the next month.
