Original Story:
MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WLNS) – Police are investigating a suspected murder suicide that left two people dead.

It happened around 12:09 p.m. Tuesday in a home on the 5600 block of Creekwood Lane.

Reinhard Klaus, 68 and Elaine Klaus, 64 were found dead in the home. Three dogs were also found dead. Police say they lost contact with a person who called from inside the home and when they arrived on the scene, they found the two dead.

Police say this appears to be a murder suicide and add speaking on details could hurt the investigation and have yet to explain what led up to this.

A shocking day for neighbors who knew this couple and say they were both very friendly, either out in their garden or walking their dogs.
