Posted: Updated:

LIVINGSTON COUNTY, Mich. (WLNS) - A Livingston County man will spend 12 to 17 years behind bard for shooting and killing his friend.

Jessce Stearn pleaded guilty to second degree murder and felony fire-arm possession Friday.

The incident happened at a gun range over a year ago, when he shot 21-year-old Charles Kimball. Stearn originally claimed it was an accident, but he ended up bragging about it in jail, which alerted officials. Stearn's sentencing will take place in November.
