Car, CATA Bus Crash Sends 3 To Hospital

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) - Three people were sent to a hospital after a car collided with a CATA bus this afternoon.

Police were called to the scene of an accident in front of Haslett High School on Marsh Road between 4-5 p.m. Monday in Meridian Township. It temporarily shut down the road.

Battalion Chief on Duty Paul McGarry said that two people were traveling in the car, and seven were on the bus. He said the condition of the passengers of the car were "potentially" serious.

The passengers of the CATA bus were being evaluated at the scene by emergency responders. McGarry said they did not appear to be seriously hurt.
