Connor McCowan Murder Trial Continues Thursday

Posted: Updated:

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) - Connor McCowan, the man accused of stabbing an MSU student to death, was due back in court Thursday.

The defense continued its examination of the witnesses in the murder trial Thursday morning.

The stabbing happened back in February. McCowan is accused of stabbing Andrew Singler to death in his apartment near MSU. Singler was dating McCowan's sister at the time. Earlier this week, the trial included text messages between McCowan and Singler, indicating a fight.

The prosecuting attorney said McCowan could have easily avoided everything, while the defense said McCowan acted in self defense.
