The Red Wings invaded DeWitt territory this evening, and Rob zimmerman was looking for a sixth striaght win this year.
In the second quarter, St. Johns was down seven and the student body left. A pitch to Angus Arthur went into the front corner of the endzone. He ran for 138 yards and three touchdowns. DeWitt blocked the extra point try.
The Panthers were up 1, got the ball back, and moved right back downfield. Quarterback Jacob Johnson was the catalyst. After the play fake, he was off deep into St. Johns territory. Johnson had 156 yards rushing on the night.
On the next play, Johnson passed over the middle to Joshua Borta for a touchdown. Johnson finished on 11 for 15 passing, in 236 yards, which was 392 total yards. But the fire was out on the scoreboard tonight.
Dewitt would go up 21-6 on a nice run by John Lippert.
The Panthers clinched a share of their eighth striaght conference title, 48-20 over the Red Wings.
