Two Churches Burglarized, Police Searching For Suspect

Posted: Updated:

COLUMBIA TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WLNS) – Columbia Township Police are investigating after two churches were burglarized early Monday morning.

The first happened on Monday at the Heart of the Lakes Church on Jefferson Road. Police say a window was pried open and that cash was stolen. A K-9 assist led police to believe the suspect or suspects left in a vehicle that was parked at the church.

The second was at Saint Rita's Church on Hayes Road also on Monday morning. A television set was stolen and due to the pried-window, time of the crime and location, police believe the burglary was committed by the same suspect or suspects as the Heart of the Lakes Church.

If you have any information on these burglaries, contact the Columbia Township Police Department at 517-592-3122.
