See Low Flying Helicopters? Don't Panic.

Posted: Updated:

If you see more helicopters flying low to the ground, you likely don't need to worry about it.

Starting Tuesday, the ITC is doing aerial checks of transmission towers and lines.

Helicopters will be doing a visual inspection of equipment for lightning damage, wear and other potential problems

The inspections will cover the area south of M-10 to the Indiana border and west of US-127 towards Lake Michigan.

It's expected to go until October 15th
