Posted: Updated:

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) - The Senate Judiciary Committee voted for an anti-bullying bill to move to the next step of becoming a law.

The Senate judiciary committee passed the measure. It would require that school districts include cyber bullying in their definitions of bullying.

Schools would also have to file a yearly report on bullying incidents to the Michigan Department of Education.

The legislation now moves to consideration on the Senate floor before the full Senate.
