Emily Wahls

Return to team

Emily Wahls is the weekend meteorologist for WLNS TV-6 in Lansing, Michigan. She became a member of the WLNS weather team in September 2013. Emily is thrilled to begin her meteorology career right here in Michigan, where she was born and raised.

Emily's passion for weather began at a young age, and it was a no-brainer when deciding what to study in college. Her love for weather led her to Mount Pleasant to study meteorology at Central Michigan University. During her time at CMU, Emily worked as a weather forecaster for CMU's News Central 34. She is currently finishing up her Bachelor of Science degree in Meteorology.

No stranger to Mid-Michigan or the WLNS family, Emily moved to Lansing in the summer of 2012 to work as a weather intern at TV-6. In March 2012 she became the fill-in meteorologist and she is thrilled to now continue her career as the weekend meteorologist here at WLNS.

In her free time, Emily loves to be outdoors. She grew up in Port Huron and spent the summers of her childhood in the waters of Lake Huron. She enjoys tubing, knee-boarding, and almost anything involving being on the lake. Emily also loves the cold and snowy winters of Michigan. Snowboarding and snowmobiling are both at the top of her list in the wintertime!
