Opportunity knocked for Grand Ledge, with a home game against defendign league champions, Lansing Everett. But it was the Vikings who scored on the very first play from scrimmage.
Everett quarterback Lucas Barner dialed Le'ondre Terry for long-distance. That was a 94-yard strike to make it 7-0 Vikings.
Later, it was Barner again. He hit up Kaylin Williams on the short pass to increase the lead to 14-0 Everett.
But don't sleep on the Comets - Nathan Megge faked the handoff, then went to Dillon Teckinton, and he went in.
Grand Ledge fought back to win, 41-19. The Comets are now second in the CAAC Blue.
