More Than 50 Pounds of Marijuana Found By Jackson Narcotic Team

Posted: Updated:

JACKSON, Mich. (WLNS) - More than 50 pounds of processed marijuana was seized from a medical marijuana dispensary at a residence in Michigan Center.

The dispensary, Sweet Greens is owned by Todd Pickett, a Leoni Township board member who was elected in November of 2012.

The Jackson Narcotic Enforcement Team members raided Sweet Greens and the owner's home on Wednesday.

More than 20 pounds of pot and numerous plants were found at each location.

Officials say the store was still operating as a dispensary, despite a February ruling by the Michigan Supreme Court that said dispensaries were illegal.

No charges have been filed at this time.
