DeWitt 13 - Portland 7

It was our big game. But the big question for DeWitt was star quarterback Jake Johnson - out again with spleen issues. So here's another Jake - Jacob heath.

And he was no slouch. Two touchdown passes in the first half to Chris Ruby, which made it 13-0 DeWitt.

But in the second half, the Raiders came alive with a reverse to Austin Brandt, Portland down six.

DeWitt offense was held scoreless late into the fourth. That was when Heath connected with Justice Shankel.

That set up a DeWitt field goal attempt to make it a two-score game, but it was short. And Portland had a shot to win it with two minutes to play.

Dewitt coach Rob Zimmerman was very pensive.

Raiders immediately went to the air. Clay Morris rolled to his right and found Tyler Mchenry at the DeWitt 30.

Portland was driving towards a game-winner. But Chris Ruby said, "not in my dojo." An interception all but ended the game.

A heartbreak for the Raiders, as their perfect season was gone. But DeWitt remained undefeated after this 13-7 thriller.

And Chris Ruby is a hero, after catching both DeWitt touchdowns and icing it with a pick.
