Soldier Accused Of Murder In Mich. Back In Court

Posted: Updated:

ADRIAN, Mich. (AP) - A soldier charged with strangling a man and stabbing another is facing a key hearing in a southeastern Michigan court.

A Lenawee County judge must decide whether there's enough evidence to send 31-year-old Brian Gogue to trial on charges of murder and attempted murder. A hearing is set for Monday.

Joel Krutsch of Adrian was killed Oct. 5 at a mobile home in Raisin Township, about 50 miles southwest of Detroit. An 18-year-old man from Adrian was stabbed in the shoulder.

Police say Gogue was on leave from the U.S. Army and visiting his estranged wife at the time.
