Detroit Tigers Manager Jim Leyland Stepping Down

DETROIT, Mich. (WLNS) - For the past three seasons the Detroit Tigers have gotten to at least the American League Championships Series.

In 2012 the team advanced to the World Series. Despite the winning progress, Jim Leyland is deciding to step down as manager.

He spent seven years as the Tigers manager, leading the team to the World Series in 2006 and 2012.

Leyland built a winning culture that has heightened expectations in the organization.
