Police Investigating Morning Shooting

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) - Police are investigating what started as a traffic accident, but turned out to be a shooting.

It happened on Holmes Street, near Kalamazoo Street around 11:45 Monday afternoon.

Police say a 19-year-old man was found in the driver's seat of an SUV parked at the scene. He had apparent gun shot wounds and was taken to a local hospital. The man is now listed in critical condition.

An investigation has shown there were likely two other people in the SUV when it crashed. They were seen leaving the scene. The first is described as a black man, around 30-years-old, with a medium build and beard. He was wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt pulled up over a baseball hat and blue jeans. The second suspect is described as a black man, older than 30-years-old, stocky and around 5'11". He was seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, white baseball hat and dark pants.
