Same Sex Marriage Now Legal In New Jersey

Posted: Updated:

N.J. (WLNS) - Same sex couples can now legally tie-the-knot in the state of New Jersey.

The first weddings took place in the Newark City Hall early Monday morning.

New Jersey Governor Chris Christie has dropped his appeal to overturn the legalization of same sex marriages.

A state court ruled last month that New Jersey must recognize gay marriages starting today.
