Police Seek 7-Eleven Robber

Posted: Updated:

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) - Lansing Township police are looking for a man who robbed a convenience store early Tuesday morning.

It happened just before 1 a.m. at the 7-Eleven on the 1900 block of Lake Lansing Road.

Workers say a man with a gun came in and told them to hand over the money.

They gave him some money and cigarettes and he took off running.

Police called in a K-9 to track the man down. That track got as far as Groesbeck and N. Fairview before the dog lost the scent.

Witnesses say the suspect is a white man, about 25-years-old, who is slim and stands about 6 feet, 2 inches tall. He was wearing a baseball cap, brown Carhartt-style jacket and blue jeans.

Anyone with information should call Lansing Township Police Department at 517-485-1700.

This is not the first 7-Eleven robbed recently. On October 9, the store on East Jolly Road was robbed. The Lake Lansing 7-Eleven was also robbed in September and June.
