LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) - Michigan residents looking for a new ride and to save some hard-earned money could be in luck if a new law passes Tuesday.

The law would eliminate the sales tax for buyers who trade their old cars for a brand new one.

The legislation would also apply to new boats and RV's.

Governor Rick Snyder says the bill will save people money and ensure Michigan's fiscal responsibility.

Lawmakers are expected to vote Tuesday. Stay with 6 News for updates.
