Prosecutors Reviewing Senior Center Shooting

Posted: Updated:

DETROIT (AP) - Prosecutors say they are reviewing a warrant request for a man accused of killing two women at a Detroit seniors' home.

Wayne County prosecutor's office spokeswoman Maria Miller said Tuesday that prosecutors are examining police reports, witness statements and other evidence against a 65-year-old man.

He was arrested shortly after the Sunday slayings but hasn't been charged and Miller could not say how long a decision would take on whether to charge him.

Fifty-nine-year-old Deborah Socia and 64-year-old Maria Gonzalez were shot to death at the Pablo Davis Elder Living Center on the city's southwest side.

Authorities say they were friends of a woman who had broken off a relationship with the alleged gunman, and he believed they were responsible for the breakup.
