MT. PLEASANT, Mich. (WLNS) - The lawyer for the man charged with killing a little boy on an Indian reservation near Mt. Pleasant wants a murder charge dropped in the case.
A hearing is scheduled for November 18th for Anthony Bennett. Bennet's attorney says the indictment is un-constitutionally vague and violates Bennett's due process rights.
Authorities say Bennett killed 4-year-old Carnel Chamberlain, the son of his girlfriend.
His trial is scheduled for next year.
