ADRIAN, Mich. (AP) - Michigan International Speedway and NASCAR say they're giving 45 trees to the community of Adrian.

The donation announced Monday is part of a NASCAR tree-planting program. MIS says another 45 trees will be planted at the Brooklyn-area racetrack.

Trees will be cared for by students of Lenawee Intermediate School District Center for Sustainability for the Future until they're ready to be planted.

Adrian is located about 60 miles southwest of Detroit.
