Delta Twp. Board To Discuss Civil Rights Act With State

DELTA TWP., Mich. (WLNS) - The Delta Township board recently voted to bar discrimination against the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community and now its debating whether to ask the state to do the same.

The board has scheduled a discussion on November 4 where they'll ask the state legislature to amend the Elliott-Larsen Civil Rights Act to extend anti-bias protection based on sexual orientation.

They are expecting a standing-room-only crowd.
