"I'm so glad that they have a place, the younger kids especially, have a place that they can be safe and swing and it's all fenced in. So they're very safe and I'm very glad that they have a place that they can run around and run off some energy," said Andrea Hepworth, a mother of a Heartwood student.

Heartwood serves students with moderate to severe disabilities.

MASON, Mich. (WLNS) - Students at the Heartwood School in Mason got a special treat Monday, as a new playground was dedicated.

The playground was paid for by private donations, along with a grant from Lowes.
