Teenager Accused Of Armed Cell Phone Robberies

HOLT, Mich. (WLNS) - A 16-year-old man is being held at Ingham County Youth Home after police say he robbed a group and was able to get away with two cell phones.

It happened on Sunday, October 20 at Holt Jr. High ont he football field. The accused robber asked five people if he could use their cell phones.

After the victims pulled out their phones, the teenager is accused of revealing a handgun and demanding everyone to give him their cell phones. Police say he got away with two cell phones before he left the area.

There were no injuries to any of the victims as a result of the robbery.

On Friday, October 25 deputies arrested a 16-year-old man on charges of armed robbery and assault with intent to rob while armed. The teenager is being held at the Youh Home, waiting for his next court date.
