Ann Arbor Police: 2 Hurt In Stabbing After Fight

Posted: Updated:

ANN ARBOR, Mich. (AP) - Ann Arbor police say two University of Michigan students had what were described as minor stab wounds following a fight near campus.

The Michigan Daily reports a man was taken into custody with help from campus police following the stabbing, which happened about 1 a.m. Friday near a fraternity house.

Police Sgt. Paul Curtis says the stabbing appeared to be personal in nature and "was the result of an altercation between the victims and the suspect."

The Ann Arbor News reports the 18 and 19-year-old men are expected to recover after the altercation, which began following a dispute with an uninvited guest at a fraternity party. Police say the 23-year-old suspect isn't a student at the university.
