Posted: Updated:

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) -  Billions of dollars are being cut from the Federal Food Assistance program, also knows as "food stamps."

Michigan alone will see more than $100 million in cuts.

The cuts will impact families, but it does depend on the size of the family.

Some people will see a $11 dollar loss, while families will be cut even more per month.

A family of there will see $29 dollars less per month, or about a dime per meal.

Members of congress are now debating whether to trim even more funding from the program.
