MSU Vs. Penn State Blood Challenge Starts Monday

Posted: Updated:

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) - Michigan State University is gearing up to go head to head with Penn State in the 20th Annual Blood Drive Challenge.

The blood drive begins Monday with the Red Cross goal to collect 2,000 units of blood.

If you donate during the 3 week challenge, you will also be entered into a drawing to win prizes.

There are no losers in this challenge and the real winners are the patients.

"Every two seconds someone in the United States needs a blood transfusion. So whether you bleed white and green or blue and green or purple and blue, whatever it is, this is definitely a chance for the community to come together and roll up their sleeves to donate and help save three lives with each blood donation," said Todd Kulman, American Red Cross Communications Program Manager.

The blood challenge goes until November 21st.
