Two Employees Injured In Jet's Pizza Robbery

Posted: Updated:

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) - Police are looking for two armed men who they say robbed a Jet's Pizza Wednesday night.

It happened around 10:40 p.m. on the 3000 block of Vine Street in Lansing Township near Frandor. Michigan State University police brought in a K-9 unit, but the search was unsuccessful.

On scene, Michigan State University police told 6 News that the suspects went into the store with a shotgun. Police say no shots were fired during the robbery.

"They did not try to fight back. It appears as though the assaults were totally unprovoked," said Chief Kay Hoffman with the LTPD.

Two Jet's Pizza employees were physically assaulted and are now recovering in the hospital.

"Right now I would say they are in good condition. I believe one should be released sometime tonight. I don't have any information about the timeline on the other one," said Chief Hoffman.

The suspects got away with cash. They are described as two African American men, both wearing dark colored hooded sweatshirts and blue gloves.

The incident remains under investigation. Officials expect to release surveillance pictures and suspect descriptions sometime Friday.
